Visaginas family center "Friendly family"
Date of creation: July 21, 1997.
Character of the organization and its activity:
The society "Friendly family" unites, basically, poor families and those having many children. The activity of the organization has charitable character. The organization aspires to solve problems which families face. The major area of activity now: organization of teenagers' free time with the purpose of preventing alcoholism and drug addiction among teenagers, as well as preventing teenage criminality. To accomplish the set tasks, the society "Friendly family" organizes:
• joint holidays for parents and children;
• discotheques for teenagers;
• computer courses;
• annual summer camp for teenagers, etc.
The society "Friendly family " uses sponsor's help and grants, received according to programs from different funds, both in Lithuania and abroad. Some activities of the society "Friendly family " are supported by Visaginas government.
