Visaginas community fund
Date of creation: 2002.
Purpose: to give help, charity, free-of-charge and paid services to the members of Visaginas community.
Tasks:
- To render charity and help to invalids, lonely unemployed people, widows and children left without parent guardianship or those who have lost one of the parents, families that have many children and the poorest families, unemployed people and those whose income is below the minimal living wage;
- Helping people, injured in wars, disasters, ecological catastrophes;
- Helping people by providing a job, training for a new profession those people who have lost work;
- Helping people by carrying out development programs: scientific, cultural, educational, art, sports, protection of health, social tutelage and protection;
- Helping people by carrying out socially useful activity and social programs announced by the Government;
- Helping people by carrying out projects and programs on Visaginas development;
- Supporting other projects and programs necessary for the community;
- Helping the workers of the Ignalina NPP who lost their jobs due to the early INPP shutdown.
