Visaginas pensioners’ club

Date of creation: May 11, 1996.
Purposes and tasks:
- Helping pensioners to solve social and medical problems,
- Work veterans' participation in public life of the town and the republic,
- Integration of the pensioners speaking another language into cultural life of Lithuania,
- Organization of leisure and rest, etc.,
- Keeping the best traditions,
- Participation in bringing up young generation.
Kinds of activity: meetings, conferences, creating commissions on problems interesting for the club members, reference to various organizations, participation in town and republican activities, organizing public activities, establishing a branch of guardianship at the department of guardianship, patronage over children, help to lonely old men, organization of parties, concerts, excursions, etc.
