Visaginas department of the Movement for preventing crime

Date of creation: June 29, 1998.
Purposes of the organization: preventing criminality, special attention to preventing teenage criminality.
Kinds of activity:
- Involving public into joint activity with law-enforcement authorities on prevention of criminality and various offences;
- Holding seminars about the harm of drug addiction;
- Giving talks on legal subjects in preschool establishments and the schools of the town;
- Organizing joint inspections with the police and weekly patrol in the evening;
- Helping police in maintaining law and order during mass town activities.
