Uzbek cultural center
Date of creation: summer 2001.
The center is registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Lithuanian Republic; the departments are registered in Vilnius and Visaginas.
Primary goal:
• overall assistance to developing and strengthening friendly cultural and business relationship between the peoples of two states with the purpose of propagating the Uzbek culture, folk applied art, traditions and originality of the Uzbek people, based on a centuries-old history of Uzbekistan.
Directions of the activity of the Uzbek cultural center:
• assistance to the inhabitants of Uzbekistan in establishing business and cultural contacts in Lithuania;
• assistance to the inhabitants of the Baltic countries in establishing business and cultural contacts;
• organization of exhibitions and fairs of Uzbek enterprises' production and samples of folk applied creativity;
• organization of art exhibitions;
• organization of any forms of co-operation between creative groups, scientific and educational establishments in the Baltic countries and Uzbekistan;
• assistance in organizing an exchange of delegations with the representatives of youth, cultural groups, business groups in Lithuania and Uzbekistan;
